La Perfection

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

“People throw away what they could have by insisting on perfection, which they cannot have, and looking for it where they will never find it.” — Edith Schaeffer

The weather in St. Louis recently has been … interesting … to say the least. Warm, cold, warm, snow. 90’s, hot and humid, followed by a weekend of cold, misty, drizzly rain.

It is never dull.

The last month has offered me challenges as a photographer, as a documenter — I realized this Saturday morning when I was juggling an umbrella and my camera while trying to shoot close ups of wet irises at the Botanical Gardens with a slight wind blowing.

I have a mania.

It is photography.
