Bruce Lee once said, “Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them.”
The problem with mistakes is that they don’t seem to be mistakes when you’re in the middle of them.
It’s only in the retrospect that you see them for what they are, once the sun rises and the dust settles — a course of action taken when you’re under the influence of emotional intoxication.
And the hangover that comes from emotional intoxication is one I wouldn’t wish on anyone, not even my ex-husband.
I made a mistake. I made poor decisions and hurt people who love me because I trusted too readily. But it’s done, and it’s time to move on.
